Tagged

I have been tagged again by Shashi and Shalini. Coincidentally, its the same tag. So here goes the rules:-

Rule 1 ~ People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs and replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.

Rule 2 ~ Tag 6 people to do this quiz and those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by and cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Continue this game by sending it to other people.

1) If your lover betrayed you, what will your reaction be?
It's not the end of the world, i will move on with my life and thank the god for letting me know before it was too late.

2) If you can have a dream come true, what would it be?
To own a 5-star hotel.

3) Why do you blog?
I have keen interest in sharing my thoughts with others. Getting opinions and comments from my blog friends makes my day. Million thanks to the creator.

4) Will you fall in love with your best friend?
I wouldn't coz i do not want to spoil the friendship that we already have. It's healthier that way.

5) Which is more blessed: loving someone or being loved by someone?
Definitely, being loved by someone. The feeling that someone loves you is greater than loving someone whom is not showing any love.

6) The place you often want to go with your special someone?
The beach, to watch the sunset and enjoy the cool breeze. A quiet dinner with such an environment is where i loved the most during my courtship days. Lolzzzz

7) If the person you secretly like is attached, what will you do?
The ship will sink for a while and will sail in a matter of time.

8)Would you ask out the person whom you like?
I will if the person is interested and willing to spend time with me.

9) What takes you down the fastest?
Attitude problem and sarcasm

10) What resurrects you the fastest?
My 2 dogs seeking my attention to pamper them.

11) What's your fear?
Oh god, i fear many things, one of it is creepy crawlers.

12) What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
Shashi is a very down-to-earth person with lots of energy and love.
Shalini is a fun and a sporty girl.

13) Would you rather be single and rich or married and poor?
Married and poor. I can't leave without my better half. We will struggle hard and come up in life and be rich :p

14) What's the purpose of such tags?
Increase the readership and getting to know the blogger well. Fun to read different answers to the questions given. On the whole, take a break from the busy schedule and enjoy doing this whacky tag.

15) If you fall in love with two people simultaneously whom will you pick?
Hahahaha.... that's good question. I will choose the person who impresses me and share the same thoughts as me.

16) Would you give all in a relationship?
Give all??? In a relationship, love care, concern and patience is more important. Hanky panky stuff is fine but not beyond the limits. The 'give all' subject is definitely after marriage.

17) Would you forgive and forget someone no matter how horrible a thing he has done?
I will forgive but not forget that horrible thing easily. Once done is done, you can't undo the thing. So better don't make such horrible mistake which can hurt or annoy me!

18) Do you prefer being single or in a relationship?
In a relationship of course, everyone need a companion in their life no matter how old they are.

19) Who/what inspired you to start blogging?
I always wanted to have my own web where i can share many things. Then came blogspot, i struggled a bit at the beginning stage but i'm fine now and i love it.

20) Tag 6 people

1000 Elephants ~ Varanam Ayiram

Can anyone fall in love to this extend? I am very impressed from the bottom of my heart. Surya is good looking and so charming in this movie. He potrayed his love well, those little things he do to impress and does things just for love, hats off to him. I guess this is how he must have wooed Jothika, lucky gal.... :p

This is one movie which really made me realise the love and patience one should adapt. I have learnt to love life even more. "Whatever things may happen, but life still has to go on".

There were moments when i cried while watching the movie. Those sentiment moments with Surya's dad, the way Surya grew up from young till his college days sounded real. A sporting dad who encourages and supports his children's activities and the happiness they shared together; very nice. I must say, Samera Reddy is gorgeous and the simplicity in her face is marvellous.....sweet looking girl. Not forgetting Simran and Divya; their acting justified their role.

The songs were soothing to the ears and the love & tension within the 3 hours made my heartbeat pound fast. Am i being sensitive? I can't help it, i almost put myself in the picture. I always have this bad habit of 'crying over spilled milk'. But after watching this movie, i really learnt a lesson.

We need the love of our parents, siblings and friends in our life. Love moves us further, without it we are just a dust in this world!

A must watch movie....... don't miss it.

What is the Concept of Love in our Tradition?

Love according to Indian concept, is a current that flows from heart to heart. We must learn to love all living beings and inspire others to do so. Love is radiant and it emits light. Many poets have written poems on love. It is believed that love is the most valuable quality in the world.

The very existence of the world depends on love, which is very true. It provides virtue, grace and prosperity. It is innate quality. Sparing love and kindness makes the giver and receiver refined and happy.

Give and take is the principle behind Love. If you love one, you too will be loved. Love is God. Loving man is equal to loving God.

Sprinking some love dust all over this post.

~ Exchanged Vows ~

2nd November was a memorable day in my life. We have renewed our vows at the temple after 7 years of marriage. It was a precious moment for me and I will cherish this. In our Indian tradition, the Iypasi month (November) is an auspicious month to change the thali chain. As per the priest's advise, I changed to a new Thali chain. We had a special prayers and did offerings to the Amman before wearing it on. I felt so lucky at that point coz the chain was put around the amman's neck first during the prayers.

And next was the rings. My hubby chose the design and it was an awesome piece. I love it so much. He got the goldsmith shop to engrave our names and the wedding date on the rings and made it even more special. Thank you my sweetheart. I love you always.......

May God bless us with many more happy years to come.

Birthday

We had lunch at Old Town White Coffee, that was my bday treat to my girlfriends. We had some quality time after quite sometime. It doesn’t matter how far you are, it’s the thought that matters to me. Most of my friends are from S’pore coz I shifted to JB only 4 years ago, so just managed to get a few good friends in JB. Though they are very much older than me, you can see, they are the ones who are always with me through ups and downs. Lolz…. S’pore makkals, I love you too.

Lunch was great and all the four of us are chatter boxes so spend most of the time chit-chatting. I brought my camera along but didn’t take any picture, smart ass. Only manage to take this photo at home. Thanks for my bday gifts, darlz.

Next bday bash was for Sivanes akka, which was on 14 Oct. We went to Vaanavil Restaurant, a newly-opened outlet for dinner. Vimala akka happen to know the owner, Mr Thana, and he was so sweet to offer us a private room. Quite cool isn’t it?

Actually, we wanted to try the Dum Briyani but unfortunately there wasn’t any for dinner time. So weird, anyway, we had other Indian items like the perattal and masalas. Not very appertizing but can’t help it.

Wishing the b’day baby, many more happy returns of the day.

Celebrations

Celebrations are around the corner. Tomorrow is Hari Raya and i would like to wish all Muslims Selamat Hari Raya Puasa. Well, Deepavali is next and i am kind of excited and lots of stuff to do.

I will be taking part in the Navarathiri Poojas, special prayers for Durgai Amman, Mahalakshmi and Saraswathy, and i will be fasting from 30th Sep to 9 Oct. So too bad, i can only celebrate a belated b'day. Some of my friends are already grumbling but don't worry gals, my treat will be after the vridham ok.

After all these prayers, preparation for Deepavali starts. The norm thing we do every year, making 6 or 7 types of cookies, murukus and cakes. I have completed my shopping, the thing i love the most. But not the spring cleaning, still have time for that. ; ) I would like to highlight something about the shopping. I was quite upset that there were sale everywhere for Hari Raya festive but there isn't any for our festive. One of the Chinese salesgirl mentioned that the sale ends on 1st of Oct and thereafter, no sale is introduced so u better grab fast or else you have to pay more for the same quality. I bought a Voir Exchange pants for only RM22.17 instead of the original price at RM63.90. Just see the discounts and privileges the Bumiputras get. This is very upsetting, don't we share the same identity as 'Malaysians'? It just gets into my nerves and i feel like migrating to S'pore for good. At least, we are treated equally. Anyway, i don't wish to say anymore about this double standard treatment.

My bro-in-law's engagement is next on the row which will be held in Taiping on Nov 23. We must be there coz we couldn't attend his registration last week. So better give our attendance before my MIL makes noise......... hehee

Next will be my cousin's wedding in K.L. on Nov 29, but i am not sure whether i can make it coz i am lack of leave. My parents will be there though. Keeping my fingers crossed for any last minute changes.

Many photo updates are on the line up. So keep visiting my blog, guys.

I have been sleeping quite late this whole week and now i am having a very bad headache!! The reason being my hubby finishes work late at night for the past 2 or 3 days. Normally, i will wait for him to come back before I go to sleep and another reason is my neighbour's mum passed away a fortnight ago and they had the 16th day prayers yesterday. Had to attend that and came back before midnight. I took a shower and i went to wonderland after that. And this morning woke up at 5am as he had to leave for work early due to his assistant on MC. I am shack now!! I need some sleep to get over from it.

I am waiting for the clock to strike 5.00 so that i can broommmmmm. Take care guys,

Melaka Trip

Sorry for the late post guys. I've been wanting to post it for quite sometime, unfortunately i was busy with other stuffs and all.

It was a 3 days and 2 night stay at Melaka town. We left in the morning from J.B, it was a 2 1/2hrs journey. By the time we reached there it was lunch time. We headed to the A Famosa Chicken Rice Ball restaurant at Jonker Walk. We were amused to see 5 rice balls in a plate with roasted chicken. It didn't taste extraordinary. The rice was mashed and was shaped in small urandai. I prefer the normal type of rice. Anyway, we checked in and left our things in the hotel and got freshen up a bit and left for Jonker Walk. There were many antique shops and souvenier shops. Since it is a tourist spot, many items were over-priced. The T-shirts were god damn expensive and the quality was not so good as we can get better Tees in J.B. at a cheaper price. So some items were not worth buying. In just 2 hours, i managed to get a few pairs of earrings, bags and souveniers for my friends and some goodies. Had some western tea at a nearby outlet and headed to the hotel. My hubby had a quick nap while i took a shower.

Our next destination was to A Famosa, the hallmark of Melaka built by the Portuguese in 1511 as a fortress. We went for an hour trishaw ride around the town area which also passed by The Maritime Museum, a large ship that actually has a museum inside. It was constructed after the Portuguese ship called 'Flor De La Mar'. It was pleasant to the eyes, nice yellow lighting and the breeze was amazing. The trishaw man briefly showed us around and told us the baba culture as well. What next, our tummy were making noise already, headed for dinner at a nearby Chinese food court.

The next morning, we had breakfast at the hotel's cafe and headed to Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade, both are shopping centres and as usual, shop around and had lunch at Ole Sayang, a famous Peranakan Restaurant. The food was mouthwatering and i was seen with a bloated stomach thereafter, Lol.....

Our next destination was Kg Morten Village, an antique house built without nails, can u imagine it??? I was lost for words. The owner of the house showed us around and allowed us to take some shots. (refer to the last two photos in 4th row) Back to the hotel after that and got ready for The River Cruise. A 45mins river cruise touring the Malay village, which has a clear view of the ancient houses at Kg Morten and the fishing boats. After alighting the boat, we drove to the Portuguese Settlement for dinner. **Highly recommended by one of my hubby's colleague. We ordered Chili Crab, Butter Prawns, Oven-baked fish and Mixed Vegetable. I nearly cried finishing the items. It sucks!!! It tasted very raw and didn't had any aroma at all. I nearly felt like killing his colleague who recommended us to this shop called De Costa's. None of the above items was good. The dinner spoiled the day. My hubby was being very nice and offered to go for a Foot reflexology nearby and both of us had a mild massage. It was heaven.

Before we left Melaka, we visited the zoo and said hi to all our friends living there. Despite some of the bad experiences we had, it was indeed a nice trip and we enjoyed ourselves.

All the way happiness, please

Finding happiness is like finding yourself. You don't find happiness, you make happiness. You choose happiness. Self-actualization is a process of discovering who you are, who you want to be and paving the way to happiness by doing what brings YOU the most meaning and contentment to your life over the long run.

Postponed!!!!!!!

My trip to Bali is postponed to next year due to my bro-in-law's engagement in Taiping, which is coming up soon. I am saving my annual leave for that and moreover, the off-peak period to apply for a long leave is in July and August for those working in the hospitality field. The forecasted peak period starts from Sept, so my hubby is unable to take a long leave. Therefore, we have postponed it to early next year. Sometimes, it just doesn't happen as what we have planned! But he has made a promise to bring me to Melaka this coming Sunday for 3 days. Its still a short break, anyway. I will post the pictures when i come back.

Money Vs Life

To make money we lose our health and then to restore our health we lose our money. We live as if we are never going to die and we die as if we never lived. There’s much more in life that we should appreciate and live our life to the fullest. Money is not everything though we can get whatever we want with that money. But happiness, love and family values are still priceless and beyond all those dollars that we earn. So value all these before it's too late.

Orang Asli Seafood Dinner

Yet another outing, we had yesterday. Our financial advisor, Mr Chandraprakash was the host of the day. We have invested in some of the Public Mutual Funds and as a gesture of goodwill, he treated all of us to a seafood dinner. Coincidentally, it was Vani akka's birthday and so it was a double celebration.

Since he was the thorn among the roses, he let us decide on where we want to dine. After cracking our heads, we ended up choosing the Orang Asli Seafood at Perling. Let me share a few photos here.

I'm the youngest of all

At the restaurant

Butter Prawns

Baby Squid with Pineapples

Kangkong Belacan

Black Pepper Crab

Our host, Mr Chandraprakash

P.S. I did not take pictures of all the food. Anyways, we also ordered Fried Siakap in Soya Sauce, Lemon Chicken, Fried Baby Kai Lan with Prawns, Japanese Hot-plate Tofu and last but not least Young Coconut drink. The food was fantastic but only thing was that the baby squid was fried a little too much and the hot-plate tofu was not to my expectation. Overall, we had a lovely time together.

Trip to Batu Caves, Maran & Kuantan

It was a bus trip organised by Ms Nalaini, one of my friend's neighbour, on 21st & 22nd June, to a few temples namely, Val Munieswaran Temple at Seremban, Batu Caves Murugan Temple, Maran and Mariamman Temple in Kuantan. We were a group of 10 friends who went for this trip and it was real fun. It was only RM120 per person including a visit to the Twin Towers. Here are some of the photos i took. Happy viewing

The last minute decision to change the colour from Mica Blue to Vivid Blue with Pearl and Crystals was a right move coz the mica blue colour was very light and it didn't look appropriate whereas this one is more like a Subaru colour :p
