Newest Icon of S'pore - Giant Observation Wheel

Couple of weeks ago, I had a chance to experience the mini flight ride of the Singapore Flyer. Standing at 165 metres, equivalent to a 42-storey building, The S'pore Flyer is a new tourist attraction at Marina Bay. Built at a cost of $180 million, its the newest icon, bagging the Best Views if Singapore award from S'pore Tartler and also Best New Tourist Attraction award from ASEAN Tourism Association.

This unique observation wheel lets us enjoy breathtaking views of S'pore and also glimpses of Malaysia & Indonesia. It was a great experience for me and my hubby. We enjoyed the ride at night with spectacular view of the hotbeds surrounding it.

Each capsule is UV protected for optimum comfort and safety and it weighs 16 tons, conveniently accomodating 28 people. You can also reserve an entire capsule for special occassions and corporate events. It would be the best dining experience one could ever have. Another interesting fact is that it took more than 1 million manhours to put the S'pore Flyer together. The tickets are priced at $29.50 for adults and $20.65 for child. It's a 30-minute ride not to be missed and its worth the ride.

Sree Gokul Krishnan

We had a small prayer at home last thursday in conjucntion with Gokula krishnan day. We invited just a few neighbours and my bro's family. My sis-in-law made the effort to dress my nephew like Krishna, that was so sweet of her. Lakshman was so cute in the outfit. He was the centre of attraction among the other kids, distributing the sweets to all which he brought.

Silence is also speech

The best answer to anger is silence. You hesitate to stab me with a word, and know not, silence is the sharper sword.

Penang Trip Part 1

We had a wonderful trip to Penang on 26 July. The trip was planned long time ago to visit the St. Anne on the Feast Day at BM. We drove all the way there with my sister, bro-in-law and Tianna.

Here we come, Penang......

Pasembor Stall @ Gurney Drive

Skin popiah, pasembor, wantan mee, char kuay teow, satay & chendol. Some of my friends told me not to step to JB if i don't try all these items. They were that crude. So here's the evidence. :P
